NEWS: Sunday, October 19 starting at 6pm. You are invited to the Art Tours 2008 closing party! The second annual closing party at artist Bobby Furst's studio in Joshua Tree (#38 on the map). Jesika Von Rabbit and Todd Rutherford of Gram Rabbit will be taking the stage with other special quests playing into the night. There will be entertainment, food, drinks and lots of fun. Bring a dish or dessert to share too. Come gather and celebrate the closing of Open Studio Art Tours 2008!

JUST ANNOUNCED: Australian Sculptor to Unveil Rhythms of Life Sculpture
A giant Rhythms of Life earthworks sculpture is nearing completion on a hill in the “Black Mesa” area Yucca Valley. The artwork is being constructed by internationally renowned Australian artist Andrew Rogers. The project consists of approximately 420 tons of dry-stacked rock. An unveiling ceremony will take place at the site on Sunday, October 19th at 4:00 p.m. The public is welcome to attend. For additional information about the sculptor, visit www.andrewrogers.com.
