My sincere hope is that you would find natural beauty and inspiration from these unusual beads and wirework, crafted by my hands.  These natural materials, given so generously to us, have been thoughtfully and lovingly designed in a way to help the wearer feel their own natural beauty intensified and feel a special connection with our earth.

James Hagerty creates rust-iron assemblage sculptures.  His first pieces were made of farm implements as totems or sites for sprinkling family ashes.  These totems or “anthropomorphisms” are whimsical, sometimes startling, but go for a deeper meaning.  They range from a foot to ten feet tall. .

My artwork explores man’s interdependent relationship with the earth. Working within the framework of the mandala, I explore the themes of nature deities, shamanism, the Earth Goddess and elemental energies. This deep earth connection is being largely ignored today. I believe that art can be an effective way to help re-establish this relationship.
